Create new template
Submit a WhatsApp template to Meta for approval in a few simple steps.
Template basics
Name, language, and the category Meta reviews the template against.
Submitted as (empty) — Meta allows lowercase letters, digits and underscores.
A template is approved per language — create one per language you send in.
Category affects how Meta reviews the template and how each message is priced.
HeaderOptional
A bold line of text or an image above your message.
Message body
The message itself. Use variables for anything that changes per contact.
Use {{1}}, {{2}}, … for values filled in at send time.
A small muted line under the message, often used for opt-out instructions.
Sample values
Meta requires an example for every variable so reviewers can read the message.
