Submit a WhatsApp template to Meta for approval. Templates start as pending; Meta usually reviews within a few minutes to a few hours.

Basics
Name, language, and the category Meta reviews the template against.
Meta requires lowercase letters, digits, and underscores. We'll submit it as (empty).
Lowercase code, e.g. en or en_US.
Promotions, offers, announcements.

Content
The message itself: optional header, body with variables, and footer.
Use {{1}}, {{2}}, … for variables. Meta requires a sample value for each so its reviewers can preview the message.
Shown to Meta's reviewers and in the preview on the right.
Short muted line under the message, often used for opt-out instructions.
